Wedding FAQ

How do you photograph weddings?

I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. I'll send you a guide to help you organizing your day, the best moments for the couple photos, the different lights... and it's really exciting for me to receive photos of your dress, shoes, invites...! On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. You get so much more than just a photographer when you choose me....you get someone to grab the bouquet, fix your hair, carry your dress, bring you tissues or water or whatever else you may need in the moment.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Southern WV, Mercer County specifically, but I travel to all surrounding areas! Local (within an hour) areas include free travel, and my travel fees for further are very affordable!

When will we get our photos?

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

How many pictures will we receive?

For a 8 hours coverage wedding, you will receive between 400 to 600 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story.

Do you also provide video services?

I only provide photography services, but I can provide a list of excellent videographers in the area!

Can I have other people take photos of my wedding as well?

I strongly encourage all clients to consider an "unplugged" ceremony. It's sometimes hard to get a clean shot of an important moment if Uncle Bob and Grandma Sue are in the aisle with their cell phones trying to get the shot as well. Please keep in mind that many important moments of your day can't be recreated and guests or family trying to take photos during those moments could interfere with my ability to provide you with the most important shots.

As outlined in my contract, I do not allow other professional photographers to shoot simultaneoulsy unless I have hired them to accompany me.

What if I cancel or postpone my wedding after I have already booked with you?

All wedding collections require a non-refundable retainer to be paid and signed contract to be executed in order to secure the date exclusively to you. This means that I will turn down all clients for that date moving forward. The retainer covers my time spent coordinating and scheduling, engagement shoots if applicable, and restitution for lost clients. Terms of cancellation and rescheduling can be found in your contract.

How do I book your services?

Simple! Check out the Contact forum at the top of the page, or check us out on Facebook using the social media links at the bottom of this page.

Portrait Session FAQ

What types of photography do you offer?

I offer maternity, engagement, weddings, family, lifestyle, children, seniors, and more!

I offer boudoir sessions for special events only.

At this time, I do not offer any studio sessions or newborn sessions.

Where do you do your sessions?

I am open to any local locations, either by your reccomendations or I can recommend some of my favorite spots! I do charge travel fees for locations more than 30 miles from my home.

What time of day is best for my session?

Golden hour (one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset) is the absolute best time for outdoor photography! Harsh sun or extremely dark areas can make the shoot more difficult. The weather and lighting are 100% the driving factor behind what type of final images you will receive! If you want a beautiful golden, glowy look, then a rainy/overcast day probably isn't best. If you like the dark and moody style, overcast days are perfect! Regardless, I will always do my best to deliver excellent images no matter the weather. However, my equipment is not waterproof and is very expensive, so I will reschedule shoots if the weather does not permit us to safely complete it.

Do you require a deposit for my session?

All of my services require a non-refundable retainer at booking to secure your appointment. The amount is dependent on the service type being provided.

How much do you charge?

I offer a variety of packages and price points to fit all different budgets. Check out the Investment link at the top of the page for more details. If you don't see what you're looking for or have a special request, reach out to me using the Contact form!
